History

kevin-fochtmanPacific Coast Composites is based in Puyallup, WA USA. The company was founded in 2001 when Kevin Fochtman, President saw a genuine need in the aerospace repair industry for small amounts of composite materials with a short lead time.

Kevin spent 15 years at the Boeing Company working on the B2 Bomber in the mid 80’s performing many processes of fabrication of composites as well as composite repair. He also worked with different composite product lines including the Boeing 737, 757, and the 777. Kevin supported manufacturing by doing root cause analysis of defects associated with the repair of composite parts.

It became evident to Kevin that with the increased use of composites in the industry and the offload of work on a global scale, that there was a need for a link between the materials manufactures and the end users/processors. Out of this need, Pacific Coast Composites was born.
